Specialized Nutrition Advice for Your Unique Needs

Nutrition Services through MemorialCare Medical Group offer nutrition wellness services to support your health, well-being and overall quality of life. Our services include nutrition counseling in a private setting, where a registered dietitian will conduct a comprehensive medical nutrition and lifestyle assessment, and then provide personalized nutrition and lifestyle advice tailored to your specific needs and goals.

Our dietitians specialize in a wide range of nutrition needs, including:

  • Weight management: overweight, malnutrition and underweight
  • Diabetes education and management, hypoglycemia and other blood sugar disorders
  • Cardiac disease prevention and rehabilitation
  • Gastrointestinal disorders: including irritable bowel syndrome, post-surgery recovery, pancreatitis, motility and malabsorption disorders
  • Kidney health: prevention and management
  • Cancer remission support
  • Sports nutrition for training, competition and peak performance
  • Pregnancy: healthy nutrition, symptom management and gestational diabetes
  • Family and pediatric nutrition: weight loss/gain and childhood feeding issues
  • Food allergy menu planning
  • Participants can also be connected to the bariatric surgery program when appropriate.

About Weight Loss Medications

If you have been prescribed weight loss medications, you may want to meet with a dietitian to help optimize results, reduce side effects, and prevent muscle loss. We also assist with meeting insurance requirements for prior authorization when needed. If you're planning to transition off the medication, having a personalized nutrition plan in place can support long-term weight maintenance.

Expert Care You Can Trust

Our registered dietitians have completed rigorous academic training, clinical internships accredited by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, and many hold advanced certifications in diabetes care and education.

Insurance & Coverage

Many insurance plans cover nutrition counseling for chronic conditions as a preventive care benefit. A referral from a MemorialCare primary care physician or OB/GYN is required to use our services.
