Vy Kieu, DNP, studied at Brandman University in Irvine, California to become a nurse practitioner. She chose a career in medicine, specifically in primary care, because she enjoys helping and teaching her patients how to live a healthy and happy life, and having the opportunity to care for each patient through a long-term professional relationship.
Vy grew up in Southern California and is fluent in Vietnamese. Outside of medicine, Vy enjoys traveling, going to museums, attending concerts, and watching sports such as volleyball, baseball, and football.

When she first walked in, she didn’t acknowledge me. Asked my daughter if I was allowed to be in the room. Then later during our visit, suggested to my daughter, if necessary, I could be kicked out of the room. She had already asked that question when she first walked in. No need to ask it again. I work in the healthcare field and her bedside manners need improvement. I also asked questions that I truly felt concerned about and very impersonal, let me know and showed me she didn’t seemed to care. It’s ok to be smart, knowledgeable and confident. She was just “standoffish”. I know it all personality. My daughter asked. Mom, what was that about? She was rude to you.
