Vy Kieu, DNP, studied at Brandman University in Irvine, California to become a nurse practitioner. She chose a career in medicine, specifically in primary care, because she enjoys helping and teaching her patients how to live a healthy and happy life, and having the opportunity to care for each patient through a long-term professional relationship.
Vy grew up in Southern California and is fluent in Vietnamese. Outside of medicine, Vy enjoys traveling, going to museums, attending concerts, and watching sports such as volleyball, baseball, and football.

Professional service receivedMy visit was on time even early. I did have an appointment. The staff did let me sit outside prior to being called in. It was a nice day out and I would rather be outside sitting rather then sitting in a lobby. They came outside to get me. Dr. Kieu took the time to explain to me what my issues where and talked about other items as well. She told me if I have any additional questions later I can ask over the my chart site. This facility and staff was very professional and I will continue to use them and see Dr. Kieu.

The whole experience was great starting from the checking in to be taken to my room. All the staff was very helpful and friendly. The doctor answered my questions. Even the questions. I didn’t mention at the beginning before seeing her absolutely happy with the decision of making this my primary facility. When she first walked in, she didn’t acknowledge me. Asked my daughter if I was allowed to be in the room. Then later during our visit, suggested to my daughter, if necessary, I could be kicked out of the room. She had already asked that question when she first walked in. No need to ask it again. I work in the healthcare field and her bedside manners need improvement. I also asked questions that I truly felt concerned about and very impersonal, let me know and showed me she didn’t seemed to care. It’s ok to be smart, knowledgeable and confident. She was just “standoffish”. I know it all personality. My daughter asked. Mom, what was that about? She was rude to you.
