About
Dr. Viktor Szeder is a NeuroInterventionalist, specialist in minimally invasive NeuroEndovascular surgical treatment of cerebrovascular diseases (brain and neck vessels).
He treats adult and pediatric patients using the most advanced minimally invasive techniques for brain aneurysms, stroke, carotid artery stenosis, arteriovenous vascular malformations (AVM), subarachnoid hemorrhage, dural arteriovenous fistulas (DAVF), brain hemorrhage, facial and neck vascular malformations, head/neck/nose bleeding as well as brain/spine tumor embolizations and spine intervention.
He has completed subspecialty clinical training in NeuroEndovascular/NeuroInterventional Surgery and Interventional Neuroradiology at UCLA, and Vascular Neurology and NeuroCritical care at Columbia University in New York. He serves as the Interventional Neuroradiology Fellowship training program Director at the Long Beach Medical Center training site. His clinical and research focus is on treatment and patient outcomes in conditions such as subarachnoid hemorrhage, brain vascular malformations and acute stroke. He has published over 40 peer reviewed scientific articles, 90 abstracts and 12 book chapters. He has lectured around the world on variety of cerebrovascular topics and serves as publications reviewer of several main scientific journals of the specialty. He is co-investigator for many national and international clinical studies testing new devices, technology and improved treatments for stroke, brain aneurysms and vascular malformations.
Dr. Szeder is Associate Professor of Radiology and Neurosurgery at David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA.
