Van Q. Pham, DO, became a primary care physician for the patient relationships and the intellectual challenges. He finds great satisfaction in helping patients overcome disease as well as building life-long friendships.
I chose primary care because I like being in the clinic where I have direct interaction with my patients, being able to talk and listen to their concerns. I like having strong, long-lasting bonds with my patients.
Dr. Pham's care philosophy focuses on educating patients on their overall health disease-processes and associated evidence-based treatments. He truly believes that he can help reduce the number of unnecessary tests and treatments by improving a patient's overall well-being and lifestyle.
When he was 14 years old, Dr. Pham immigrated to the United States with his family. He speaks Vietnamese fluently and loves to explore different parts of the world by traveling with his wife. When he is not working or traveling, Dr. Pham enjoys online gaming, tinkering with home electronics, snowboarding and is a beginner golfer.

Dr Pham will voice his concern about your visit issue and still ask about other topics like how’s my diet, Physical activity any pains or concerns on any health issues.I like that he takes the time to listen and not like he’s in a big rush.Most doctors rush and rush out and almost forget to even say good bye .

Dr Pham is the best doctor I have had. He has helped me to treat many ailments that have bothered me for a while (and some that have popped up as I have gotten older.) He gives advice that is direct and honest but delivered in an approachable, friendly way. He always presents me with options for my healthcare and is receptive to my feedback. I truly feel that my health concerns have been heard by Dr. Pham, and I have not felt that way in a very long time! There were some issues in the front office that were annoying when I started seeing Dr. Pham (not his fault) that have since been cured. I have recommended him to my friends and family.

Dr Pham is great but the Schaufele location and staff could be better. Parking is difficult and the receptionist staff leaves a lot to be desired. It really blows my mind that they make you wait in line to be checked in then have the audacity to say that you're late. 3, 4, 5 people waiting in front of you to see one of many healthcare practitioners and somehow it's my problem that they're understaffed?Regardless, Dr Pham listens and seems to be well-rounded in his medical knowledge. I enjoy talking with him and he is the perfect amount of professional and personable. My health has definitely improved since I began seeing him. It's hard for me to say if the office mismanagement is because of Memorialcare specifically or just the state of the American healthcare system so I am hesitant to rate poorly. I suspect it's more of the former. Plan ahead and arrive early, and you'll be fine.

I love dr Pham he’s an awesome doc !! But the experience I had today with the front office staff was not great. When it came to my co pay she made me feel forced because I told the girl helping me to bill me and she said “she would have to check with her supervisor because I already had a balance”. I work for the same company and have never heard that EVER. A patient should never feel forced to make a co pay to see their doctor. You never know someone’s situation!! So I hope this won’t happen again as this is making me question returning.
