Dr. Chen is a board-certified internist with a robust and dynamic practice in Irvine for the past 17 years with MemorialCare Medical Group. He entered the field of medicine for the intellectual challenge in solving problems with each patient's diagnosis and he bases his practice on interactive communication with his patients.
Dr. Chen graduated from Boston University School of Medicine in 1998. He received his Master of Public Health degree from Harvard School of Public Health and went on to complete his internal medicine residency training at University of California Irvine Medical Center in 2003.
The focus of his practice from the beginning has always been patient-centric care. Dr. Chen firmly believes in constant collaboration and communication between patients, doctors, nurses and staff to provide exceptional healthcare in a nurturing setting.
In addition, with the constant changes in the healthcare and socioeconomic landscapes that we are in, it is also Dr. Chen's belief that his practice should be in a perpetual evolution for the best. With that, his team works closely with a team of specialists and other healthcare providers to provide the most up-to-date, on demand care, and guidance to his patients.
In his spare time, Dr. Chen enjoys playing golf, cooking and traveling.

This was my first virtual visit with M C Medical Group in general & Dr. Chen in paricular. Our 11 am appt started an hour late due to several lengthy, surprise visits by in-office patients.
