About

Rosanna Galzote-Carino, MD was born and raised in Long Beach, and she appreciates the opportunity to come home to practice medicine. “I am so happy to be back serving the community I love!” While she studied public health as an undergraduate at the University of California at Berkeley, she desired “one-on-one interactions and building relationships with people.”

Dr. Galzote-Carino believes it is an honor to care for women at some of the most vulnerable times in their life.

“I get the most professional satisfaction in the relationships I build, especially when caring for prenatal patients and helping them along their nine-month journey and beyond. My priority is to make them feel heard.”

She also has a special interest in gender health, including performing gender affirming hysterectomies. “My goal is for gender and sexual minorities to feel comfortable and cared for.” She also has interest in family planning and patient safety, including emergency simulations.

Outside of the office, Dr. Galzote-Carino is dedicated to family. “My husband and two children basically occupy most of my free time,” she notes. In addition, she also has a large extended family with whom she also enjoys spending time.
