Lilly Singh, MD, attended medical school at State University of New York Health Science Center at Brooklyn, College of Medicine and went on to pursue her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at New York Medical College in Valhalla, New York.
Dr. Singh discovered her calling in obstetrics and gynecology during her medical school rotations. She fell in love with the atmosphere on the labor floor and thoroughly enjoyed working with other professionals dedicated to women’s health. What continually fuels Dr. Singh is the special bond among women caring for one another, and she cherishes being a part of that unique connection.
Throughout her career, Dr. Singh has been fortunate to learn from exceptional mentors, with one particular general surgeon from her medical school leaving a lasting impression. His philosophy of treating each patient as a beloved family member has guided her practice and become a cornerstone of her approach to healthcare.
When it comes to patient care, Dr. Singh's greatest satisfaction stems from ensuring that her patients' concerns are heard and their questions are addressed. She believes her primary role is to assist her patients in achieving their health goals. She envisions a collaborative partnership where they work together to reach those objectives.
Patients can expect her to offer recommendations with the same care and consideration as she would for her own family members. Dr. Singh encourages her patients to ask all their questions and voice their concerns, promising not to leave them hanging.
Dr. Singh grew up in San Jose and is proficient in Punjabi and Spanish. Outside of medicine, she enjoys various crafts such as crochet, painting, and sculpting. She also finds solace and joy in dance and is currently trying to involve her young sons in her hobbies to create meaningful shared experiences.
