About
Dr. Leslie Young, MD, earned his medical degree from UC Irvine College of Medicine and completed his pediatric residency at UCLA Medical Center. Inspired by his own experiences with severe atopic dermatitis and nasal allergies, which led to hospitalizations during his childhood, Dr. Young considers the doctors who cared for him as his heroes and role models. His passion for medicine deepened during high school biology studies, where he delved into the realms of science and medicine.
Fueled by his passion for the wellbeing of children, Dr. Young cherishes the trust parents place in him to care for their children, making every interaction with patients and their families profoundly meaningful and rewarding.
I work collaboratively with parents in caring for their children because parents are always their children’s experts. I want parents to trust their instinct and always parent with love, not fear or guilt. I always respect parents’ perspectives and prioritize what's best for their children.
Born in Taiwan and fluent in Mandarin, Dr. Young, who immigrated to the United States during his teenage years, brings a unique understanding of cross-cultural interactions. He has also learned medical Spanish to better connect with Spanish-speaking families. Dr. Young's commitment to pediatric care goes beyond the clinic, authoring two books on pediatrics and his own YouTube channel focusing on ADHD. He specializes in helping children with ADHD, bringing his expertise to a wider audience.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Young is dedicated to serving others and building meaningful relationships, leading the Rotary Club in community service projects. He also enjoys spending time with his dog, running, and weight lifting.

His kindness, thoroughness and dedication to really listening to our kiddos is unmatched by any other doctor we’ve seen. When our son was very ill with pneumonia, he was super supportive of his care and our experience as parents, and even visited him in the hospital to check in with his hospital care team. We feel very lucky to have found Dr Young!

Great first visitThis was my first time at this office due to our memorial care closing in Torrance. Dr. Young was informative and took his time with our questions. He updated us on the vaccines my son needed and also a lab he needed to take. Wonderful doctor and pleasant medical assistant, and staff to complete our visit.

I’ve seen a lot of doctorsVery well informed doctor, thorough communication, super friendly, nice shoes, very reassuring and wastes no time doing his job! Dr. Young is down to earth and seems to hold minimal bias. He is clearly passionate about his work, evident partially by the fact that he has his own YouTube channel designed to help people with ADHD. I am going to make Dr. Young my primary care provider even though that location is not my local doctor’s office. I’d recommend anyone to go see Dr. Young, especially those with ADHD.

The staff and Dr Young were amazing at caring for my son who, after having bloodwork, passed out in the restroom. They quickly got him into a room, provided juice and water, and monitored his vitals until he felt good enough to go home. Thank you to everyone for the caring assistance!
