Jennifer B Liu, MD

Dr. Liu, Diplomate of the American Board of Urology, specializes in the treatment of urologic cancers, urinary incontinence and dysfunction, sexual dysfunction and kidney stones.

She is one of the few surgeons in the Greater Long Beach area with advanced training and a fellowship in the use of the da Vinci® Surgical System. When appropriate, Dr. Liu enjoys performing minimally invasive surgery to ensure her patients less post-operative pain and a quicker return to regular daily activities while still providing excellent surgical outcomes.

Dr. Liu was recently selected to be one of only three urologic surgeons in Los Angeles County to be trained in HoLEP (Holmium Enucleation of the Prostate) for enlarged prostate (Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia) treatment. This groundbreaking technology allows us to definitively treat particularly enlarged prostates glands in a minimally invasive way allowing for even quicker recovery. Frequently recognized for her exceptional bedside manner, Dr. Liu is the consummate patient advocate. By combining her extensive open surgery training with the latest minimally invasive techniques, Dr. Liu stays on the cutting edge of Urology. She is currently serving Chief of Urology for Long Beach Medical Center.
