Dr. Sternfeld enjoys the continuity of care which the field of obstetrics and gynecology offers. He manages the healthcare of women from adolescence through menopause. Dr. Sternfeld has extensive experience in managing low and high risk pregnancies and is an accomplished gynecologic surgeon. He has a special interest in da Vinci robotic surgery.

He graduated summa cum laude from UCLA and later graduated at the top of his class at UCSD School of Medicine. He completed his residency training at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center where he served as Administrative Chief Resident.

Dr. Sternfeld is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology, a fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and has served as Chief of Women and Children's Services at Saddleback Memorial Medical Center.

Dr. Sternfeld and his wife live in Laguna Niguel and have five children.

This was my first OB/GYN and the best doctor ever he delivered my first babies, my firstborn, daughter ( 1997) and my second born son Daniel, ( 2001)who I named after him. There's nothing like a doctor that you can trust and this is him Dr. Daniel Sternfeld.

Dr. Daniel Sternfeld is an exceptional OB/GYN and surgeon, and I truly can't recommend him enough. I had been struggling with severe menorrhagia for years, which led to iron-deficiency anemia so severe that I needed iron infusions every few months just to function.After discovering a large fibroid that had enlarged my uterus to five times its normal size, Dr. Sternfeld and I decided that a robotic laparoscopic hysterectomy with bilateral salpingectomy was the best course of action. I was reassured to learn that he was actually the first physician to perform robotic surgery at Saddleback Medical Center in Laguna Hills--his expertise really shows.From the very beginning, Dr. Sternfeld took the time to explain everything in detail and made sure all of my questions were answered. Even when I messaged after hours through the patient portal, he and his office responded quickly and kindly. That level of care and attentiveness helped ease any anxiety I had throughout the process.Now, four weeks post-op, I feel fantastic. I'm healing beautifully and already back to enjoying walks and light activity. This surgery has been life-changing--and I have Dr. Sternfeld and his amazing team to thank for that.If you're looking for a knowledgeable, compassionate OB/GYN who truly listens and delivers excellent care, I highly recommend Dr. Sternfeld.
