Cheryl Guidry, NP, received her master's in nursing at The University Of Texas Health Science Center. Her passion in science developed in middle school and into high school, she ultimately chose a career in obstetrics and gynecology due to her longstanding curiosity about the reproductive system and biology. Her greatest fulfillment lies in empowering her patients to proactively manage their reproductive health.
I find immense joy in what I do, aiming to provide my patients with a comfortable experience and ensuring their needs are met.
Originally from New York, Cheryl's interests outside of medicine include traveling with her husband, spending quality time with her children, and walking for exercise. Notably, she has participated in four marathons and walked 60 miles over three days for breast cancer awareness with Susan G Komen.

She is kind, knowledgeable and very well at communication. Her staff is also the same and attentive. We waited maybe 5-10 minutes and were brought in early (Yay!). And the office itself, impeccable. I loved how the gloves, file folders, everything was color coordinated in colors I love. Finally the appointment was went much faster than expected with nothing uncomfortable. Definitely will recommend!

Cheryl was quick efficient and professional. I was really nervous for my IUD removal and although she did a great job I would have appreciated a bit warmer bedside manner. I could tell she was in a hurry which is understandable, but it would have made the experience better had she spent a bit more time and care. Overall satisfied.

I had never had gotten a breast exam on top of my gown made me feel like the physician was grossed out. 15 plus years going to CWC and had never experienced that awkwardness. The doctor was not rude just very serious.

Cheryl does not make me feel comfortable asking her questions or addressing my concerns. Sometimes she awkwardly stares and pauses before answering my questions with the most obvious answer without considering that I may have already considered that answer and perhaps Iām asking her the question due to another possible circumstance. Following her obvious answers, she doesnāt allow me to elaborate on why Iām asking the question or whether or not Iāve considered that answer already. Overall I donāt enjoy my visits with her and I leave her appointments feeling like my concerns were unaddressed because I feel annnoyed with her response or reaction to my questions.If that office wasnāt so close I would go to another location. Unfortunately she is the only doctor available and fits my schedule at that location.

She is was kind but was not forthcoming with information regarding questions I had. For example, I asked about a flyer or something similar with regards to q breast pump and she said there was none that my insurance would send me whatever pump they covered. I then asked the front desk and they quickly gave me a brochure. She also said she would as unable to see info regarding my ultrasound on Monday but the front desk was able to see. Not sure if just a miscommunication or if her computer just hadnāt updated.

Practitioner has fixated weight gain, Iām at a healthy weight for my pregnancy and donāt appreciate the constant commentary. Beyond that I find her unfriendly and cold. Previously, Iāve gone out of my way to reschedule appointments with this doctor because of this.

This is our first baby, so I was expecting a very happy experience considering we are over the moon happy. Our ultrasound tech said little to nothing. Made things very awkward. I felt almost embarrassed to be so excited to see the fluttering heart beat. Then the NP, Guidry was cold and very cut and dry with responses. Little to no emotions or congratulatory essence. Bedside manner definitely needs work. Overall not the best 1st time experience. Wasnāt expecting rainbows and butterflyās but definitely a little more than what we got. Weāll be switching locations.

This NP has poor bedside manners. She is unfriendly and made me feel uncomfortable to ask questions. Additionally, she was insensitive regarding concerns that were discussed. Further, she seemed to be in a rush throughout the entire visit. She was also not helpful when I displayed a difficult time physically while trying to get up from laying down.

She was late, not prepared for the meeting, made me wait around 30 min for an answer to a simple question, and was extremely unprofessional when asked any questions. She dismissed my concerns about my birth plan and brought me to the verge of tears with her harshness. She should not be in her role.
