Ben Nguyen, MD grew up in the Santa Ana/Costa Mesa area. “I chose a career in primary care because I wanted to contribute to the community by trying to improve everyone’s health,” he says. “I customize treatment plans with respect to each patient’s individual circumstances and preferences while still practicing evidence-based medicine.”
Dr. Nguyen gets the greatest satisfaction from his profession by forming long-term relationships with patients, and watching them make strides in improving their health. He speaks English, Spanish and Vietnamese, and is Board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine.
In his spare time, Dr. Nguyen enjoys video games such as Dungeons & Dragons, and karaoke.

Dr. Nguyen is the best family practitioner I have ever had in my entire life. He has been supportive through some of my tough times, and he’s kept me in check in times that I’ve been lazy. But Dr. Nguyen has gone out of his way to make sure that I got the best treatment available, even on his off time. He comforted me and told me not to give up when I was ready to throw in the towel. So I just wanted to let you guys know. Doctor Ben wins an extra 12 stars after your amount. Also, your nursing staff and front desk do a phenomenal job. I fought hard to get insurance that helped allow Ben to do his job better, and I’m thankful for that and his staff.

I arrived at the office about 10 minutes late, but as soon as I walked into the front office, the lady at the desk was very kind and welcoming. She mentioned we needed to hurry since it was late, and she promptly began checking my insurance information, as it’s a new policy through my husband’s work.Everything went smoothly—I was seen quickly. The medical assistant took my vital signs, and within a few minutes, Dr. Nguyen came in to assess me. He provided a diagnosis and prescribed new medication.I wasn’t there long, and the whole experience was efficient and pleasant. Thank you to the entire team!

Dr. Nguyen took time to assess a medical problem, diagnose it, recommend testing, and offered referral to a specialist. He promptly refilled a prescription for me. It was available at my pharmacy by the time I returned home from my office visit.
