Virtual Care Resources for Patients (New Video Visit Platform)

On February 15, 2025, MemorialCare transitioned from using Zoom to a new video visit platform (powered by Epic). The new platform is user-friendly and comes with several exciting new features.

Ease of Use:

Unlike Zoom, you don't need to download a special app. Simply log in to your patient portal via myChart (desktop) or the MemorialCare app (mobile) and select the “Join Visit” button. If you do not have a myChart or MemorialCare app account, we will email and/or text you a link in advance so you can join your video appointment at the scheduled time.

New Features:

  • Chat functionality—Effective communication with your doctor is crucial. The chat feature provides additional options to ask questions, share information, and make comments throughout the visit.
  • Screen sharing—You and your doctor can share your screens. This feature is particularly useful for reviewing test results, explaining medical information, suggesting devices, and more.
  • Invite Guests—If you prefer having your spouse, caregiver, translator or someone else sit in on your visit, you now have the option to invite them into the virtual exam room.
  • Screen Capture—If you have a medical condition, such as a rash, that your doctor wants to monitor, they can now take a photo to review the progress during future follow-up visits.
