Dr. Yujie Cheng was born and raised in China. She received her bachelor’s degree from UCLA and her MD degree from Ross University in Dominica. After completing her residency in Family Medicine at UC Davis in San Joaquin County, she moved to Irvine to join her family. Dr. Cheng is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine.

Dr Cheng is one of the best physicians there are in Orange County as far as I’m concerned. She cares about the whole patient and she listens to the patient. She works to allow you to drive your healthcare to make sure that you are part of the process and not just one step in a procedure. My first appt. w/Dr. Cheng was great! She was very friendly, & easy to talk to. I had just changed my insurance to an Advantage HMO Plan, I needed a referral to my eye specialist & she was gracious enough to process it while I was there. A week later she called me on her lunch break to discuss why my request for the referral was denied. What a fantastic person to take their own time to call a patient to explain the referral denial & its process. I have never had an HMO before & was relying on the insurance agent for the plan to explain the process, which turned out to be incorrect! Going back to my PPO insurance & yes, I will be able to continue using Dr. Cheng as my primary physician.
