Lena B Nguyen, DO

Lena Nguyen, DO (“Dr. Lena”, she/her) is a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist dedicated to providing holistic, patient-centered care. She is passionate about supporting women’s health across every stage of life, from adolescence through menopause, with a special focus on empowering her patients through education, honesty, and compassionate care.

Known for her expertise in the treatment of fibroids, endometriosis, family planning and minimally invasive gynecologic surgeries, Dr. Nguyen takes a holistic approach to medicine—considering the physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being of her patients. She prides herself on building lasting relationships with those she serves, offering a safe and inclusive environment for all, including members of the LGBTQ+ community.

Born and raised in Orange County, Dr. Nguyen completed her undergraduate studies at the University of California, Irvine, and earned her medical degree from Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona. During medical school, she discovered her calling in women’s health, which led her to specialize in obstetrics and gynecology. She also participated in a humanitarian mission to Vietnam, serving as a translator for patients and surgeons—a formative experience that deepened her commitment to culturally sensitive care. Dr. Nguyen completed her residency training at Rutgers University in New Jersey. After a few brisk East Coast winters, she returned home to Southern California.

Dr. Nguyen is fluent in English and Vietnamese. Outside of medicine, she enjoys Southern California’s great outdoors—hiking, camping, and surfing—as well as attending concerts and traveling with friends and family.
