About

David Tahour, M.D. is a board-certified, fellowship-trained vascular and interventional radiologist and serves as the Director, Vascular & Interventional Radiology at the MemorialCare Imaging Center at Long Beach Medical Center.

Using image guidance (CT, X-ray, ultrasound, MRI and PET), he performs image-guided interventions focused on cancer, including biopsies, tumor ablations, trans-arterial therapies, and palliative management.

After earning his medical degree from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, Dr. Tahour completed his residency in diagnostic radiology at Keck School of Medicine, USC followed by a fellowship in interventional radiology at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center / Cornell University Medical Center.  His fellowship included additional sub-specialty training in interventional oncology.

His clinical and research interests focus on utilizing minimally invasive techniques to treat cancer via thermal measures (ablation), blocking off the blood supply (embolization) or implanting microscopic radioactive particles (radioembolization).  He is the leading performer of Y90 radioembolization procedures in the Long Beach area. He is also an expert on the treatment of deep venous thrombosis (DVT) utilizing the most advanced thrombectomy modalities. Dr. Tahour’s research has been published in numerous peer-reviewed journals.
