As a family physician, Dr. Candace Basich enjoys seeing patients of all ages and levels of complexity. She focuses on preventive medicine, integrated management of chronic diseases, and women's health.
Board certified in family medicine, Dr. Basich served as Chief of Resident during her Residency through UC Irvine at Long Beach Memorial Medical Center. She received her Doctorate of Medicine at the UC San Diego School of Medicine, where she also completed the Healthcare Executive Leadership Program to focus on healthcare quality, management, and policy.
Over the last ten years, Dr. Basich has been actively volunteering in many organizations such as the UCSD Student-Run Free Clinic, the Children's Hospital Oakland and more. She has also worked internationally in Ecuador, Mexico, and Costa Rica. She has received numerous awards including UC San Diego School of Medicine Regents Scholar, Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society, UC Berkeley Chancellors Scholar, Alumni Scholar and Deans List.
Currently, she serves as volunteer faculty for the Department of Family Medicine at UC Irvine School of Medicine.

She’s always very receptive kind gracious and she wants to make sure I feel great by the time I get out of the appointment. I’m very blessed to have her as my doctor.
