Anna Victoria Ilagan, MD was born in Manila, Philippines where she spent her childhood until the age of 10, when she moved to Cerritos, California with her family. She is fluent in both Tagalog and Spanish.

“I was inspired to pursue a career in medicine by seeing the doctors in my family growing up. I chose family medicine because I deeply value continuity of care. By fostering long-term relationships with my patients, I am better able to understand their backgrounds. That becomes important when working with them to create collaborative care plans and helping them understand how they contribute to their overall health.”

Dr. Ilagan also enjoys the wide breadth of practice that comprises family medicine. “In working with patients, I find the most satisfaction in providing education that is easy for them to understand regarding their health and well-being and eventually helping them to attain their personal health goals.”

When she is not working with patients, Dr. Ilagan enjoys traveling, live music, cooking, trying new restaurants, and spending time with friends and family.

It was such a pleasure to meet and talk with Dr. ANA ILAGAN. She had read my chart and was all caught up with my needs with diabetes and my knee replacement and gave me something to try instead of ibuprofen because it’s not good for my kidneys. Looking forward to as to be my new doctor the staff was delightful as well. The appointment was right on schedule really appreciate the kindness.!

Outstanding doctorDr. Ilagan does a great job of listening to my concerns and works with me to come up with a care plan that I'mcomfortablewith. She's friendly and seems to genuinely care about my well-being. I'm happy to have her as my primary care provider. I will mention that it's sometimes difficult to get an appointment that isn't two months out. Not usually an issue but I needed to see her sooner so I was given the option to see another provider on her team. I prefered to see Dr. Iligan so a few days later when I decided to request a refill through the MemorialCare myChart app, I decided to look at available appointments again and was excited to see that she had something available for the same day. It took a bit more work but it's not impossible to be seen sooner. Overall I've always had a positive experience and am more than satisfied with my care.
