Ekta Patel, MD, attended medical school at Boston University School of Medicine in Massachusetts, and went on to complete her residency in family medicine at the University of California, Irvine. She chose a career in family medicine because of her desire to help people and her love of science. She enjoys treating patients with a holistic approach, instead of focusing on one specific aspect of their health, which she finds very special.
Dr. Patel values giving back to the community and helped create a teen mentorship program during her time as a medical resident. She would like her patients to know, that as their doctor, she will provide them with the tools and support to make a well-informed health decisions. She believes it is very important that her patients are comfortable working together for a beneficial healthcare relationship.
As a Family Physician, I am so grateful for the strong relationships I have built with my patients. With a strong interpersonal relationship with my patient, I can provide the empathy, guidance, and support so a patient can become a well-informed advocate for their own health.
Dr. Patel grew up in Orange County, California and is excited to take care of the community where she grew up. Outside of medicine, she enjoys spending time with her friends, family, going to the beach, visiting National Parks, and learning new cooking recipes.

Amazing doctor!Dr. Patel is the perfect combination of extremely knowledgeable, compassionate, and very kind-hearted! I am an older woman but have no problem expressing myself to her and feeling heard. I had been with my previous doctor for over 25 years and was anxious when he retired. Very attentive, informative, and helping me with anything I needed. I’m not sure what changed this year. But this last visit I felt you were very rushed. I even asked about my nose blockage. And you didn’t even use an instrument to even try to look up and see if you could see anything. You rushed out the door. The last feeling I want from my doctor is that I’m just another number. I hope you read this and understand where I’m coming from. If our next visit feels this way then I probably have to change my primary PCP. Thank you

I waited for over an hour for her to come inside the room to see me. I was already in the paper gown and had to wait for way too long. A 30 minute appointment ended up being around two hours long. Also, she said that she would be sending me some information via my chart which she did not. I had to send a message to their office And they responded at that time. This is my second time going to see her for an annual check up and both times the wait time has been ridiculously long.

Terrible doctor. Baaaad communication skills. Unresponsive. Refers sub-par doctors and is visibly there for her career rather than her patients needs. Avoid.
