Offering Rehabilitation Services Focused on Recovery and Improving Lives 

The MemorialCare Rehabilitation Institute at Long Beach Medical Center has provided comprehensive rehabilitative care to our community for more than 50 years. Accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF), we offer a continuum of rehabilitation services provided by many of the area's finest rehabilitation specialists, making it one of Southern California's most respected rehabilitation centers. Working with patients, our goal is to help those with disabilities regain independence and rebuild their lives in an environment where loved ones are involved in the rehabilitation process.

Our Outcomes

We are proud of the outcomes achieved by patients who are admitted to our inpatient rehabilitation programs. In most of our programs, our patients' functional improvement exceeds both regional and national averages. As a result, we are able to discharge more patients back to their homes and community rather than nursing homes or skilled acute facilities above regional and national averages.

Inpatient Rehabilitation
Each treatment plan implements individualized, goal-orientated rehabilitation in the most cost-effective manner with a minimum of three hours of therapy at least five days per week.
