Graham Tse, M.D., chief medical officer, MemorialCare Miller Children's & Women's Hospital Long Beach, has been honored as one of the 180 exceptional chief medical officers in Becker’s Healthcare’s esteemed 2024 “Chief Medical Officers to Know” list. This recognition highlights Dr. Tse's dedication to patient safety, quality care and continuous improvement in healthcare.

The list recognizes physician leaders who excel in championing patient safety, upholding rigorous quality standards, managing risk, and serving as vital liaisons between the leadership team and medical staff. Dr. Tse’s inclusion on this list is a testament to his outstanding contributions and leadership within the medical field.

As a pediatric critical care specialist and a top doctor recognized by the Los Angeles Business Journal, Dr. Tse leads nearly 900 pediatric physicians across more than 30 specialties at MemorialCare Miller Children’s & Women’s Hospital. Under his leadership, the hospital has received numerous accolades, including the Human Experience Pinnacle of Excellence Award by Press Ganey, a high-performance ranking in maternity care by U.S. News and World Report for three consecutive years, and a national ranking for the hospital’s pediatric pulmonary Institute.

Dr. Tse has been instrumental in unifying the pediatric hospitalist program under a single clinical group and developing a comprehensive medical staff professionalism program. His advocacy during the pandemic as the Hospital Incident Command Center physician in charge played a key role in procuring the vaccine nirsevimab, an antibody that helps protect the body against respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) infection.
